2,000 US Soldiers Killed in Iraq

We've reached another horrific milestone in Iraq, 2,000 US Soldiers killed in the line of duty. People from all over the country are doing something to honor these sacrifices and bring our troops home, you can join them:

Not One More Death, Not One More Dollar - The American Friends Service Committee and the Gold Star Families for Peace, Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Military Families Speak Out are holding:

There are currently 405 events planned in 49 states and counting...On Wednesday, October 26, people will gather in communities across the U.S. to mark the death of the 2,000th reported U.S. military death in Iraq and to say that the country’s pro-peace majority wants Congress to stop the deaths by stopping the dollars that are funding the war.

TrueMajority members have been active in opposing the war in Iraq, and now it's time to come together again. The Win Without War coalition--including Democracy for America, MoveOn.org, and TrueMajority--is organizing candlelight vigils around the country Wednesday, October 26th, at 6:30 P.M. in commemoration of the 2,000 members of America's armed forces killed in Iraq.

To find an existing vigil in your community or to create a new one, go to:http://political.moveon.org/event/iraqvigils/
